Epic 3rd Arctic Jeep Expedition July 1st to August 15, 2025

Embark on a Journey Like No Other

Starting July 1st, 2025, at the historic site of the Little Big Horn in Montana, Jeep Expeditions is thrilled to announce the commencement of our EPIC 3rd Arctic Jeep Expedition. Spanning over 12,000 miles, this adventure promises breathtaking scenic routes, historic sites, and an unmatched experience of the great outdoors.

Expedition Route

Our journey begins by traversing the iconic IceFields Parkway and the ALCAN Highway, exploring the geological and historic wonders along the way to Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada. From Whitehorse, we'll venture to Dawson City, Yukon, famous for its Gold Rush history, and then drive north on the Dempster Highway to Inuvik, Northwest Territories. Here, we’ll relish 24 hours of sunlight before pushing further north to Tuktoyaktuk, or as the locals affectionately call it, "Tuk".  From here our adventure has only started with much more to come....................

Highlights of the Expedition

  • Arctic Circle Crossings: We'll cross the Arctic Circle four times, experiencing the raw beauty and unique environment of the Arctic region.

  • Historic and Scenic Spots: From the Great Alaskan Salmon Bake in Fairbanks to the restored Kennecot Mine in McCarthy, AK, our route is dotted with hundreds of memorable landmarks.

  • Wildlife Sightings: Be on the lookout for a diverse range of wildlife including bears, buffalo, musk ox, reindeer, caribou, moose, and beavers.

  • Iconic Highways: Drive along the legendary Dalton Highway, known from the "Ice Road Truckers" series, and the Top of the World Highway, Dempster Highway to Inuvik NWT, Denali Highway, Inuvik to Tuk Highway and the famous Alcan (Alaska-Canada) Highway to name a few.

Camp and Relax

On average, we'll camp for three nights and then spend the fourth night in a motel, balancing adventure with comfort. We will make numerous water crossings and traverse up to 1,400 miles of dirt roads. It’s essential to have a high-clearance 4x4 Jeep, with Wranglers being preferred for this overland journey.  Camp on the shores of the Copper River and catch wild salmon for our dinner.
